Cotzal Teen's Huipil - H3732
|
Out of stock
Item #: H3732
This huipil came from San Juan Cotzal which is located in the Guatemalan department of El Quiche. It was worn by a teen age girl and though it shows age and wear it's still a very nice example of the traditional design work from this village. It was hand woven in 3 panels on a backstrap loom of all cotton. There is some hand embroidery around the head opening. There are no holes or stains but there is overall wear and some loose threads. It measures 23" wide x 17" long (34" if opened fully).
